This was most likely my last trip up to Lake Erie for the year. So I intended to take some photographs for myself while I was there.

It's always exciting for me to make the drive to the Lake because I can't wait to cross the Sandusky Bay Bridge, open my window and breath in that brisk Canadian air coming across the lake this time of year.

I have photographed the lake many times before over the years, but for some reason I felt this time it might be a different experience..it's funny how gazing at the water can make us feel at times, the memories and feelings it brings to mind.

I hope that you enjoy this slide show of the lake, the sky, the sunrises and sunsets - soon the ice will slowly cover the lake like a blanket, and Erie will go to sleep for another winter
