Coffee Shop

Before we leave Thanksgiving behind and head toward the December holidays, i thought i'd pass on an experience i had this year that truly expressed the spirit of Thanksgiving. Colin's Coffee, my favorite coffee shop, was actually open on Thanksgiving morning - so I decided to stop in. You would think that on a holiday a small business like this would be closed, not really expecting a lot of customers. But I overheard Colin telling someone that even though he does not make a lot of money on Thanksgiving, he still opens to give his regulars (a lot of whom are older, and may have lost their loved one) a place to go. I thought that was amazing what some people will do for others that we don't always take recognition of these days.
