Last Sunday, the day after our Super Storm of 2008! .. My friend Michael and I took a drive along Mill Creek headed to Ostrander. I had my Canon 20D and my 24-70 mm lens, Michael had his little Canon Point & Shoot,. We saw some great scenery and even better photo ops. We found that we had to be careful because we really couldn't pull off to the side of the road anywhere for fear of getting stuck! So most of the time we just stopped in the middle of the road . For those who like photography, all of these photos were shot out of the window, or we just hopped out of the car. The "High Water" sign is pretty funny, as just two weeks ago this road was under water .. Today we said it should read: "Not Plowed!". Of course, just then a plow truck did appear, and we were glad we had a place to pull off the road, or else!
Then a bit farther up the river we were stopped by a fallen tree across the road - so we had to turn around on this very narrow part of the road On our journey back home, we thought about our encounters with icy, impassable roads, fallen trees, and tricky driving conditions ...then all of a sudden a rooster jumped out into the middle of the road!!!
To say the least, it's beer time!
Hope you all enjoy the pictures that we had a great time taking...
